Reopening of Loyd Rec (Brasenose Road)


On Friday 1st September 2023 the Mayor of Didcot, Cllr Axel Macdonald & the Deputy Mayor of Didcot, Cllr Andrew Jones along with Peter Blackman from Didcot Casuals Football Club, opened the newly furbished Loyd Park Pavilion.

The Pavilion has had a new roof, rewiring and has been painted inside and outside. We hope the local football teams will make use of the renovated building.



New Minister, Methodist Church, Didcot


On Saturday 2nd September 2023 the Mayor of Didcot, Cllr Axel Macdonald and the Deputy Mayor of Didcot, Cllr Andrew Jones attended a service at Didcot Methodist Church to welcome the new Minister.

The new Minister is Revd Bruce Thompson and he will be the Minister at Didcot, Milton and Wallingford Methodist churches.


Didcot Twinning Visit


The Mayor of Didcot, Cllr Axel Macdonald attended an event in Planegg from 7th to 10th September 2023 to meet with the Twinning Association Committee.

The Mayor had a nice few days meeting with the Committee in Germany where he attended as the Mayor of Didcot as well as the Chair of the Twinning Association.


Charity Coffee Morning


On Wednesday 13th September 2023 a charity coffee morning was held at the Civic Hall to raise money for the Mayor's chosen charities; Felix Fund and Didcot Foodbank.

Lots of cakes and raffle prizes were donated for the event and we thank those that provided these.



Play2Give Charity Ball


On Saturday 30th September 2023 the Mayor, Cllr Axel Macdonald attended the annual Play2Give Charity Ball at Milton Hill House.

It was an enjoyable evening and the ball raised lots of money for the Play2Give charity.
