Parks & Open Spaces


Didcot Town Council look after and maintain a number of parks, gardens, play areas, green open spaces, lakes, allotments and the town Cemetery.

Edmonds Park

Edmonds Park has two play areas, junior and senior football pitches, sports court, car parking and a sports pavilion. The park is locked at night.

Great Western Drive Park

Great Western Drive Park is a modern play area with combined basketball and goal court and table tennis court.

Ladygrove Park

Ladygrove Park has a play areas, car parking, multi use area and three tennis courts.

The park is 11.38 hectares / 28.13 Acres


Ladygrove Lakes

Ladygrove Lakes is a wildlife area with two fishing lakes.


Ladygrove Skate Park

Ladygrove Skate Park is a great place to keep active and practice skills.


Loyd Recreation Park

Loyd Recreation Park has a play area, junior and senior football pitches and pavilion.

The park is 3 Hectares / 7.4 Acres.


Marsh Recreation Ground

Marsh Recreation Ground has a large play area and kick about goal area.

Smallbone Recreation Ground

Smallbone Recreation Ground is a green space home to the Didcot War Memorial and a recently refurbished play are.


Didcot War Memorial

Didcot War Memorial is located in the Garden of Remembrance at Smallbone Recreation Ground. This is a memorial to local residents who lost their lives at war and the memorial is the focus of a service of remembrance each year on Remembrance Sunday.

The Diamond Jubilee Garden

The Diamond Jubilee Garden was created in 2012 as part the Council's celebrations to mark the Diamond Jubilee of HM the Queen. The garden is located at the rear of the Civic Hall and makes the perfect backdrop for wedding or party photos.


Broadway Gardens

Broadway Gardens is the flower beds along Broadway contain mixed shrubs and they are planted with seasonal bedding twice a year.

Size: 1.1 Hectares / 2.7 Acres


Stubbings Land

Stubbings Land is a green open space with trees.

The park is 1.7 Hectares / 4.2 Acres.


Millennium Wood

Millennium Wood at the Hagbourne Triangle is a mixed deciduous wood with native species scrubs, a stone circle and ephemeral pond.

The wood is 3.6 Hectares / 8.9 Acres.
