That's TV Interview


On Monday 6th November 2023 the Mayor had a zoom interview with That's TV to promote the Remembrance Day Parade in Didcot - which took place on Sunday 12th November 2023.



Poppy Train


On Friday 10th November 2023 The Mayor of Didcot along with others gave a poppy wreath to the GWR Poppy Train.

The train takes poppy wreathes from various locations up to Paddington to lay at the Paddington where it will be laid at the War Memorial on Platform 1.



Remembrance Day 2023


On Saturday 11th November 2023 at 11am the Mayor with members of the Royal British Legion attended a 2 minutes silence at the Memorial in Smallbones Park. Some members of the public also attended.



Didcot Craft Fair


On Saturday 11th November 2023 The Mayor, Cllr Axel Macdonald attended the Didcot Craft Fair organised by Didcot Events.

He was impressed by the many craft stalls and the overall winner of the best stall was awarded to wdwrks for the second year in a row. The Mayor presented them with their winning plaque.



Didcot Remembrance Parade and Service


On Sunday 12th November 2023 the Mayor of Didcot attended the annual Remembrance Parade and Service.

The parade sets off from Edinburgh Drive carpark and march up the Broadway to the Memorial outside Didcot Civic Hall.

The service takes place by the memorial and wreaths are laid from various organisation's, i.e. scouts, army and navy cadets, local schools along with the local MP.

This year as it was very muddy due to the recent wet weather we also live streamed the service in the main hall for people to watch.

Refreshments were available for all in the Civic Hall.



Didcot Patient Participation Group Health Day


On Saturday 18th November 2023 the Mayor, Cllr Axel Macdonald attended the Didcot Patient Participation Group Health Day at the Civic Hall.

The Mayor opened the event which ran from 10am to 2pm and was open to the public.


Phoenix Taekwondo Grading Presentations


On Sunday 19th November 2023 the Mayor attended the Phoenix Taekwondo grading presentations at Willowbrook Leisure Centre.

Over 100 candidates attended form all over the country and those applying for their black belts achieved a 100% pass rate.

Well done to all.



Mayor of Bicester Charity Dinner


On Friday 24th November 2023 the Mayor, Cllr Axel Macdonald attended the Mayor of Bicester's Charity Dinner to help raise money for charity.

The money raised went to Bicester Baby Bank who the Mayor of Bicester is supporting - a worthy charity.
