Didcot Powerhouse Fund Event, GWP


On Wednesday 10th November 2021 the Mayor attended the launch of The Didcot Powerhouse Fund event. This will be a game changer in terms of local grant funding. Look out for details.



Armistics Service, Didcot Monument


A small number of people attended the Armistices Service at the Didcot Monument in Smallbones Rec on Thursday 11th November 2021 at 11am.



Didcot Remembrance Parade and Service


On Sunday 14th December 2021 the Remembrance Parade and Service took place. The parade met at Edinburgh Drive car park and then marched down the Broadway towards the Memorial in Smallbones Rec. The service took place at the memorial where wreaths were laid by various local groups and refreshments were available in the Civic Hall afterwards.



Charity Barn Dance, Civic Hall


On Friday 19th November 2021 the Mayor hosted a barn dance to raise money for his two charities (Coeliac UK and Play2Give). There was dancing, food and 'Mocktails' and everybody had a fun time.



Secret Santa 365 10th Anniversary


On Saturday 20th November 2021 the Mayor Cllr Mocky Khan attended an event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Courtney Hughe's Secret Santa 365 charity. The charity has gone from strength to strength from providing Christmas presents to people in hospital over Christmas to giving out old refurbished laptops to children during lockdown so they can access their school work and helping vulnerable people in the community.



The Great Costa Coffee Chrismas Giveaway


Lots of prizes and free coffees (they ran out) were given out by The Great Costa Coffee Christmas Giveaway which was at the Civic Hall on Tuesday 23rd November 2021.
