Didcot Powerhouse Event


On Thursday 7th March 2024 the Mayor attended the Didcot Powerhouse Fund celebration and launch of the 2023 Impact Report in Milton Park.

Speakers on the night included Lord Vaisey (The Patron), David Johnston MP and beneficiaries of Powerhouse Grants.

It was a very informative evening.


Opening of Edmonds Park Pavilion


On Tuesday 12th March 2024 the Mayor of Didcot along with the Deputy Mayor of Didcot attending the opening of the newly built Pavilion at Edmonds Park.

Local dignitaries were invited along with the builders and members of Didcot Town Council.

Local dance troupe Bernadine School of Dance performed some routines and Creative Catering provided a lovely buffet.

The building is now available for hire - contact Didcot Town Council if you would like to book a room.



Didcot Town Council Awards


On Saturday 16th March 2024 the Mayor of Didcot hosted the annual Didcot Town Awards.

He was helped on the night by other councillors Cllr A Hudson, Cllr M Khan and Cllr K Morrison.

The event is to thank people of Didcot that go that extra mile to help out in the community.

The evening commenced with a performance from Step in Time School of Performing arts, followed by the awards and then a buffet.

Nominations for next year's awards will open in the Summer or 2024.



Aureus School Art Showcase


On Thursday 28th March 2024 the Mayor of Didcot, Cllr Axel Macdonald attended the Aureus School Art showcase.

Children from the school, sang, danced and played instruments showing off their talents.

The Mayor had an enjoyable evening watching all the performances.
