Thursday 6th June 2024


On Thursday 6th June 2024 the Mayor of Didcot, Cllr Andrew Jones, planted a tree in Edmonds Park to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day. He was attended by his two cadets.



Saturday 8th June 2024


On Saturday 8th June 2024 the Mayor of Didcot attended several events.

The first event was to visit the Guide Dogs Big Help Out at Cornerstone to see the good work that they do.

The second event was to attend the grand opening of the newly planted up Didcot Library Garden Party.

Finally he attended the RBL D-Day 80th ceremony at the Harwell Stone, where he was attended by one of his cadets. He laid a wreath and watched as a flypast went over.

Sunday 9th June 2024


On Sunday 9th June Cllr Andrew Jones attended the Mayor of Bicesters Civic Service at St Edburg's Church, Bicester. It was a lovely service.


Tuesday 11th June 2024


Cllr Andrew Jones, the Mayor of Didcot attended the annual Evening at Dorchester Abbey along with other dignitaries.

There was a nice supper followed by a lovely service.


Tuesday 18th June 2024


The AGM of the Thames Ridge Scouting Association took place on Tuesday 18th June 2024 at Didcot Civic Hall. The Mayor, Cllr Andrew Jones attended. It was interesting to see what the scouts have been up to over the last year.


Friday 21st June 2024


Cllr Andrew Jones, the Mayor of Didcot attended the NAPE Oxfordshire - Festival of Voices 2024, at Dorchester Abbey were various school choirs sang.

Children from Aureus and Didcot Primary Academy sang and everybody enjoyed the concert.


Monday 24th June 2024


The Mayor of Didcot, Cllr Andrew Jones attended the Oxfordshire County Council Flag Raising at Oxford Castle Yard to commemorate Armed Forces Day 2024.


Tuesday 25th June 2024


On Tuesday 25th June 2024 Cllr Andre Jones, Mayor of Didcot attened Autism at Kingwood Stategy Launch Event at Didcot Civic Hall.


Friday 28th June 2024


On the morning of Friday 28th June 2024 They Mayor of Didcot was invited to attend the Meadows Care Home Cultural day, where lots of displays and stalls were set up for the residents and their families to enjoy.

In the afternoon he attended the Armed Forces Flag Raising at Bicester Town Council Offices.
