NHS Frontline Day

On Monday 5th July 2021 the first NHS Frontline day event took place at the Civic Hall - on the birthday of the NHS. This is to thank all the NHS staff, frontline workers etc for their work during the Covid Pandemic.

The event opened with the raising of the NHS Frontline flag, followed by a prayer and two minutes silence and then the planting of a memorial tree in the new garden for all those who lost their lives during the pandemic.

Afterwards refreshments were served outside, socially distanced, in the garden of the Civic Hall.

Play in the Park

On Saturday 17th July 2021 Didcot Town Council in conjunction with Oxford Playhouse hosted the play 'Me & My Bee' for local children to attend with their families. The play was about climate change and told in a fun way for children to understand.

Sustainable Didcot had a stall informing people about climate change and held an art competition for children about bees. For more information see their facebook page SustainableDidcot.

Play2Give charity also held a stall to raise money for their charity through games and a name the bear competition. They raised £176 on the day. Well done.

It was a lovely day and we hope all who attended enjoyed the play. We hope to do it again next year.
