Ability Swing Opening


On Wednesday 1st February 2023 the Mayor of Didcot, Cllr Pam Siggers and the Leader of the Council, Cllr Mocky Khan officially opened the ability swing in Loyd Rec.

The swing will enable wheelchair users to use the swing without needing to leave their chairs. Its the only one in Didcot and the second one in Oxfordshire We hope the users will enjoy the new swing.



St Annes Playground Refurbishment


On Wednesday 1st February 2023 Cllr Pam Siggers the Mayor of Didcot officially opened the newly refurbished St Annes Playground on Fleetmeadow Estate. Cllr Mocky Khan, the Leader of the Council was also there for the opening.

We hope the new equipment will give the children a fun place to play.



DGS Has Got Talent


On Friday 3rd February 2023 The Mayor of Didcot, Cllr Pam Siggers attended the DGS Has Got Talent Show at Didcot Girls School.

The show was to raise money for The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Charity and £891 was raised at the event.

The Mayor was impressed by the amazing talents of the students at Didcot Girls School.


Wantage Silver Band Concert


On Saturday 4th February 2023 Cllr Pam Siggers, The Mayor of Didcot attended the Wantage Silver Band Concert at the Cornerstone, Didcot.

The band is ranked #27 in the world rankings (their highest position in the history of the band since formation in 1972). The band was joined by Musical Director Ian Porthouse and Cornet Soloist Dewi Griffiths who both performed at the BBC2 Proms 2022.

A wonderful concert enjoyed by all who attended.


Grub Hub, Didcot Railway Centre


On Thursday 16th February 2023 the Mayor Cllr Pam Siggers attended the Grub Hub at Didcot Railway Station, which provides lunch for children during the school holidays.

The Mayor met Anne Middleton and families who attended the hub. Whilst she was there she had a go in the the Train drivers cab.
